The Academy of Statistics and Interdisciplinary Sciences, affiliated to the Faculty of Economics and Management, East China Normal University, was established in May 2018. Its aim is to develop the field of statistics and the related interdisciplinary. The Academy focuses on the field of statistics and dedicates to develop frontier theories and methods in statistics. In the meantime, the Academy aims to promote the cross-integration and development of other disciplines such as economics, business administration and public administration. We are expected that our Academy of Statistics and Interdisciplinary Sciences will be national leader for statistical interdisciplinary research. Further, the Academy will be the important and high level base for training and exchanging scholars with significant international influence. Taking the statistics of the world's leading universities as the benchmark, we will create a first-class innovation team.

The Academy of Statistics and Interdisciplinary Sciences is a relatively independent research entity, which implements tenure track system. The Academy currently has openings for recruiting faculty members in China and oversea. The relevant disciplines for these openings include: statistics, econometrics, finance, behavioral science, management science, business administration, and computer science. The Academy uses the Academy of Advanced Studies at Princeton University as a model to conduct high-end scientific research in statistics and related interdisciplinary studies, and to advance the innovation and development for statistics and its interdisciplinary areas.
